The diocese of Raiganj will remain ever grateful to the late Bishop Alphonse D’Souza SJ for envisaging a hospital in the diocese so that the people get quality health care closer home and avoid travelling to distant places in search of good doctors and quality health care. He invited the Daughters of the Cross to his diocese to open a hospital like Navjeevan Hospital, Gayaganga. The foundation stone for the hospital was laid on 1st May 2018.
